Jockey to the Fair - a series of videos for home study
Now available for home study.
Level 2 - for those with some experience, this could be 2 or 3 terms of Annette’s beginner class, or other percussive dance forms.
Annette will teach a set dance (in jig time) called "Jockey to the Fair", this is part of the Dan Furey repertoire and was brought to the group by Margaret Wray of Derry. Margaret learned the dance from Frankie Roddy, also of Derry.
Part of the beauty of this living tradition is that the steps continue to be passed on from one generation to the next.
Summary - you will receive:
- a link to download a series of videos
- accompanying notes
- background information
