"Zoom with Annette" – the block 10, level 3 series of classes is available for home study.

Annette will teach St Patrick's Day Set Dance, as danced by the Dan Furey Group - the full version which comprises of step 1, set 1, step 2, set 2 and a finishing step. Each step is 8 bars long - leading on the right foot and repeated with the left; each set is 14 bars long - leading on the right foot and repeated with the left.  A number of movements are repeated within the dance which will make these 5 sections achievable at this level.

Annette received this dance from Michael Tubridy of Co Clare, part of the beauty of this tradition is that it continues to be passed on from one generation to the next.

Level 3 - for those who have been dancing a while and are ready to start memorising longer and more complicated routines.

An Irish 'Set Dance', is a dance that has been choreographed to a particular piece of music – there can be a number of different versions of the dance – all danced to the same music.  A dancer could choose to perform 2 or even 3 versions in a row, if they so wish.

For your information, the Dan Furey group currently meets online each month, providing an opportunity to dance Dan's repertoire with like minded soles/souls. These monthly events are free to attend, further information on the Dan Furey group can be found here.

Summary:

- Annette will contact you to discuss the best format you send the videos to you.
