MADDEN'S BELFAST - EACH WEDNESDAY
Join the craic and dance! 😊
New term will begin on Wednesday 6 May, drop-ins always welcome!
A weekly event - a mixed level class / dance session
"Maddens bar, even though it resides in the heart of the city, epitomises tradition, warmth and craic; it is renowned for its vibrant traditional music scene."
Each Wednesday from 630pm-8pm 'Step with Annette' will host an open dance floor session in 2 parts:
a) tuition in old style step dancing, 1 or 2 new steps each week, perhaps 1 easy step and a more advanced step, as the sessions progress there will be some revision of previously taught steps/dances, or dances already known by those attending.
b) tuition in some simple 2-hand dances from Donegal.
The aim is to get people dancing outside the classroom environment, while also attracting people who are curious about dance and are keen to try a few simple steps - ie something for everyone. After class dancers will receive access to a YouTube video to practice their steps prior to the next class. Venue: Upstairs @Maddens Bar, Berry Street, Belfast BT1 1FJ

FYI there is always recap each week of the steps covered. You can join at any time during the term, drop-ins welcome.

Couch to Céilí - fun guaranteed - get moving - get dancing! 😊
New term will begin on Thursday 7 May, drop-ins always welcome!
Annette will lead you in a mix of folk dances, all welcome, no partner or experience necessary, instruction will be given - selecting dances from her repertoire of 2-hand dances, Irish Ceili, Scottish, French and Breton dances - in lines, circles and couples (you may wish to bring a partner and dance together, this is not essential). You can join at any time, drop-ins welcome.
Venue: The Community Hall at St Peter's Church North Street, Lurgan, Co Armagh BT67 9AH

"BAL FEIRSTE" is a French Dance Club based in Belfast, a not-for-profit organisation. Annette is one of the founding members, and current chair. Drop her a line here if you would like to know more. The club runs monthly bals running September to June, as well as a number of dance workshops.
