4 Levels of Tuition
"Step with Annette" currently offers online classes via Zoom - NEW TERM - Many dances are also available for home study, check the shop tab. Join her growing community of dancers from all around the globe. After each live class you will receive a video of the work covered along with some notes. Prior to the next class, you are encouraged to send a video of you dancing for critique (no pressure). Each 5-week block of classes ends with a free Party/Graduation Night! Booking: a 5 week block of classes
Duration: 50 mins each Location: Zoom (online) Tuition ranges from Level 1 (beginner) - Level 4 I have been creating trailers for each upcoming term, since block 6. Level 1 (beginner) | 19.00 - 19.50 pm (Irish time) - in the beginner level you will learn an easy routine, Annette has choreographed some easy hornpipe steps - she will also take a little time each week to demonstrate other dance types: reel, hornpipe, slip jig etc. Level 4 | 20.00 - 20.50 pm (Irish time) - for those with a good background in Irish step dancing or other forms of percussive dance, where many movements will already be known, or easily picked up and we will work on building repertoire. Teaching a series of hornpipe steps from May Allen of Co Antrim, given to her by Mary McGuiggan - these can be seen on Mary's South Derry Dancing video. WEDNESDAY Level 2 | 19.00 - 19.50 pm (Irish time) - for those with some experience, this could be 2 or 3 terms of Annette’s beginner class, or other percussive dance forms. Teaching some Sean Nós reel steps from Brenda O'Callaghan, taken from a series of steps that she calls "Dotty Gillen". Level 3 | 20.00 - 20.50 pm (Irish time) - for those who have been dancing a while and are ready to start memorising longer and more complicated routines. Teaching a series of 2 reel steps from Thady Casey of Co Clare and 2 other steps from Patrick O'Dea. |
